My soul belongs to Johnnys.
I remain gleefully in love with Arashi. They're my favorite! There's something loveable about all the members and they all love each other too. They have like no angst! Which, compared to the younger groups, is a relief.
They're just so *adorable*. Even thinking about them makes me happy. Plus they have so much footage for me to work through! And it's funny now that MatsuJun is my least favorite, when before I knew Arashi I liked him best.

I am SO EXCITED about the cast of HanaKimi. The first episode was pretty good. Oguri Shun was HOT HOT OMG. Toma was fine, but failed to make me immediately fall in love with him to catch up with everyone else. And I think Maki is the prettiest I've ever seen her, even though she's playing a boy. I tried to watch the Taiwanese drama version, but the comedy, though funny, was too broad for me to care about the characters really. I've always been interested in this story though. Twelfth-Night-like crossdressing antics! What's not to love? I should read the manga. (And for some reason, this series is always linked to Marmalade Boy in my mind, so I should finally finish that too. Parental group marriage + fake incest FTW.)
JE is no stranger to gender confusion, what with all the crossdressing, but it's rare that any of them get actually mistaken for girls. (Except that one Mago Mago Arashi where the grandpa thought that the picture of himself and Ohno was a picture of himself and a random girl. AHAHAHA Ohno's expression was SO HILARIOUS.)
But in this clip an old British man does mistake them. It's not really clear which ones he's mistaking for girls, despite what Akiyama says afterwards, but it's still FUNNY. I love this clip so much. Mostly because the old man looks so HONESTLY DISMAYED at his mistake. They weren't even *trying* to be girly there. GOLD STAR.

Recently I've discovered the joy of Kinki Kids. It's not like I didn't know who they were--I've watched Domoto Kyoudai before, and I like Tsuyoshi from Summer Snow.
But I didn't know they were so IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER OMG.
Like I'm barely convinced that they're not having sex (unlike with Ohmiya SK), but they do just love each other so much! And they're also really cool. And like to give us lots of fanservice! They so enjoy fucking with the media.
So yeah.
KINKI KIDS FOREVER.
Because they *already* share a surname. And, according to their theme song, they'll "always be together."
They come premarried for your convenience, folks.
I downloaded that drama where they kiss, "Ningen no Shikkaku," and it looks to be interesting. Now I have to find time to *watch* all the things that I downloaded.
I'm trying to pimp myself into Tackey and Tsubasa, in the theory that if they're as like Kinki Kids as everyone says, it's just more of a good thing, right?
But despite their cute cute friendship (SO CUTE) and Tackey's super ability to perve on any moving object, I just can't get past Tsubasa's straightness. Even though he still brings the fanservice.
I know people say that Tsubasa is like Domoto Koichi in his mad dancing ability, but I didn't really notice anything special about his dancing. That is, until I focused my gaze on his hips. Tsubasa's hips are *amazing*. When you look at the dances they do together, Tsubasa *always* like puts way more hip movement into it and looks hot. He doesn't smolder at the camera like Takki does, but his dancing *is* hotter. Takki's a dork but he can turn it on. And they can both sing! After watching some Shounen Clubs, that's like a miracle. Why can none of the younger groups sing! I mean, I love them all, and Jimmy Mackey leaving still makes me really sad, but they can't sing. Especially compared to the Korean boys.
Well, Tegoshi can. Hee, Tegoshi! He's such a cheerful little slut, it's adorable. His quote about always wanting to be "entwined with a [NEWS] member," and working diligently toward that aim always comes to mind when I think of him.
I *do* really love the Kamen PV. It's one of my favorite PVs ever. Takki and Tsubasa are both really hot, and they're interacting with each other (please do this more!!!) sexily and all intense and YAY. Plus the editing and cinematography--the direction and concept are really great. Artsy and yay. Fingerpaint is sexy!
