Since school's started, I've been busy corrupting fragile young minds. But I have been watching S&H, though my 3rd and 4th seasons are kind of spotty.

But! I have achieved:

Starsky's Brother

Starsky loves his brother.

A lot.

But his brother is a criminal and makes Starsky look like this.

I'm sort of DEEPLY IN LOVE with Starsky. So no one should hurt him. Bad brother.

paranoid_ninja said today that the song "Pretty When You Cry" reminded him of me. Like it's something I would say. Okay it's true that Starsky hurts VERY PRETTILY. So maybe I can just hate people who hurt him and still enjoy the pretty.

Anyway, the only thing I like about Nicky is that he's curvy.

Like his brother.

And then there was Black and Blue.

Hutch gets shot and Starsky comforts him.

And Starsky meets this wonderful old woman at the hospital. And then he is BEAUTIFUL and so is she and I LOVE HIM and it almost made me cry.

But then after waiting anxiously at the hospital, Starsky proceeds to act like an asshole to Hutch the rest of the episode. He's assigned a new partner, a hot ass-kicking black chick. And he starts calling her his partner to Hutch's face. Maybe because Starsky and she "watch a late night special together". I guess that's 70s for FUCKING.

When she's trying to prove that she can do the job, she wrestles with him and pins him to the ground.

STARSKY: Let me up or I'll bust your ribs.

HOT ASS-KICKING BLACK CHICK: Say please or I'll break your vertebrae.

STARSKY: ...please.

And that was, uh, EXTREMELY HOT. (Maybe

paranoid_ninja has a point.) Even if Starsky is cheating on Hutch with another partner.

So Starsky and his new partner get caught by bad guys and tied up, and Hutch has to rescue them with his bullet-ventilated shoulder. (Who's the better partner now, huh?)

Then afterward, in Dobey's office, Starsky and she say goodbye.

They gaze into each other's eyes for so long that Hutch actually *pops his little head between them* (omg so adorably jealous!) to ask:

HUTCH: You don't mind if we leave the room, do you?

DOBEY: You speak for yourself! This is my office, and I want to watch.

ME: AAHHHHHHHHH. There are some things I just *don't want to know* about you, Dobey!

STARSKY (to girl): Whaddya gonna do?

And then the image freezes and the credits come up.

So that means they kiss right there? In front of Hutch's face and Dobey's perverted eyes? I GUESS?

Look at Hutch. God, he wants to MURDER HER.

I remember when

jekesta was talking about these episodes, and there was talk of Starsky in a nurse's uniform, and then like yesterday I saw the Mad Magazine where they made them be gay and put Starsky in a female nurse uniform while Hutch was in the hospital. HEEE!

The Jeremiah vid is coming along, closer to finished. VIDDING IS HARD YO. Now I remember why I just have lots of ideas and only vid in my head. IN MY HEAD IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

Oh yeah, and does anyone know how to get rid of the *extremely annoying* NEW lj bar?

Which is probably one of the most painful scenes in the series (hey, there's alot of those in season 4). Hutch wants nothing more than assurance that he’s still important in Starsky’s life. The whole scene in his hospital room? He keeps calling Starsky partner, that’s the only thing he refers to him as. He’s seeking assurance that he's still important even when the job's not there to bond them together and what does Starsky do? Acts like a freaking idiot and all ‘got another partner, don’t need you’ and your heart just breaks for Hutch because he’s so alone and lost and just...broken.

SAD SAD SAD. This is damaging my great Starsky love. But maybe not. Because then in my head he can realize that he was being mean, and then feel bad, and guilt SO PRETTILY yes.

It is strange that most of the canon times they're mean to each other, it seems to have NO CANON MOTIVATION. And there are rarely consequences to them or continuity mentions. But that's just normal television. THANK GOD WE HAVE FIC.

I love that starsky has a brother, I LOVE IT SO MUCH OH GOD SO MUCH and his brother is all blaming him for leaving so he had to be brother with the mob instead and Starsky is all wearing red and looking beautiful and OH GOD i love that he has a brother oh!:):):):):) x

They were wearing red yes and dancing HORRIBLY together, and Starsky kept TOUCHING HIM. And then Starsky hurt and it was beauty.

starsky love! i love the starsky love! and really, what's not to love about a man prepared to lie about on the floor like that? (on close inspection he does seem to have underwear on. sadly. but it's pretty low-slung...)

late s&h makes me sad, though, because you're right. they are MEAN to each other (and, the tache? eww.)

Starsky wears bikini briefs! I don't think he's wearing underwear a lot of the time, though! Look at those pants in the Voodoo eps.

Yeah, I can't stand the moustache. When I see it, Hutch automatically goes from hot dude to good second-husband material in my mind. It's annoying when the 'stache is mentioned in porn, because I always mentally airbrush it out. This is the only picture where I can stand the 'stache, because without it, he would look like a GIANT GIRL. He's such a doof.
