As soon as I go into rhapsodies about the Animorphs, who should appear on Supernatural but Rachel! And she was awesome and gun-toting like whoa. She seemed much prettier too somehow, although she looked exactly the same.

In other news, Little Britain is my new favorite show. I don't actually watch most of it; I just fast forward to the parts with Anthony Stewart Head getting groped each episode, and those two minutes are SO WORTH IT. (Wow with Veronica Mars stealing Brad and Janet's lines in their dialogue and ASH being gay and lovely, I feel very Rocky Horror all of a sudden. I totally had all the songs stuck in my head after hearing just those two lines on VM. So annoying. PS: LOGAN WITH A GUN YES AND TIED DOWN AND BEAT UP YES THANK YOU THANK YOU.)

Oh, ASH. I *loved* him as Oliver; I loved him as Giles; but ASH as the Prime Minister is just so so so happying. He is all powerful and lovely and never breaks character. It's like a character from a real show got stuck in this sketch comedy show, with VERY PLEASING RESULTS. Thank you, boy_touching, for alerting me to this.

Hehe! You're right - it's implied that Stewart makes him don the thong and use the featherduster as part of his "favor," but it could be just the standing-around-in-your-underwear-wielding-a-feather-duster part that the PM is rolling his eyes at. He could have already been wearing that thong - he could be wearing it under his suit all the time. Hee.

So, out of curiosity, I looked up the Little Britain thing and caught it on BBC Three. It was pretty amusing, though the audience laughter is a little annoying. And Giles definately didn't do anything so... pronounced in the one I saw. I also got a few episodes of Veronica Mars and may end up watching that. So, just wanted to comment that you may end up single-handedly destroying what little academic focus I had left.

But, I do have to ask... why are you watching all these foreign shows while you are IN JAPAN!? Shouldn't you be drooling over some anime or something?

OH, glaphix and I were giggling over this and this, which were really interesting and hilarious. So we thought you might like to know what it meant when people call you a botter.

Yeah Due South has kinda put me off anime for about a year. I still downloaded a lot, and I want to watch it, like the end of Inuyasha, but somehow...I just can't bring myself to. And the TV room is cold, so I don't do things in there. I have been feeling nostalgic for Gundam Wing lately, so maybe that's the first step!

The END of INU YASHA?! But that was like the ultimate of never-ending anime! All those side-plots and stuff... I... I just don't know what I'll do now. I mean... exactly how old are we getting here? I'm not even IDed sometimes here in England... AAAHH!

On a more serious (normal?) note, not gotten sucked into House yet. As in, haven't downloaded any. And probably won't, for the time being. Mainly because most of the links I got have expired... I go on a few trips to the continent, and before I know it, everything's changed. *sigh* But yeah, I am liking this Veronica Mars thing. A UPN show could be good. Who knew?

As for you and the lack of anime in your life... you'll come to regret it. The minute you step out of Japan... how long are you there for, anyway? I can't remember how JET works, exactly. And to think, I used to be good at remembering random details.

I'm here for at least a year. And yeah, maybe my fandom tastes are contrary, or balancing. So when I live in the J house and Japan, I like English-speaking shows, and vice-versa.

The Inuyasha manga still continues! So they'll probably make more movies or episodes once there are enough volumes. (I wish they'd do that for Fruits Basket...) They probably wanted to avoid the Kenshin situation, so stopped for now. And I hear the ending is wide open, which is why I'm not in a rush to see it.

OMG VERONICA MARS YAY! ::converts a new one:: You totally don't need to watch House in order, if that helps.

Hello I am like way older than you, still-in-college boy. How was France and the train chunnel thing, btw? All the crazy Semitic stuff going on there is fucking scary. Even Johnny Depp says so.

Aww, Fruits Basket... that was a good one. Don't know why they don't realize it... I'd get much more enjoyment out of that than never-ending Inu Yasha. I suppose that's why they ended Cowboy Bebop as they did.

Oh no, I got my trip to Paris out of the way quite a while ago, before the car-burning frenzy started. I actually flew, as it was cheaper and easier than getting a Eurostar ticket (because of the VAT; they don't tax plane fuel, but they do tax train fuel for some reason that I don't quite comprehend). Though taking a train from London Waterloo to some other country would be a cool experience in and of itself...

What about you? Got any little journeys planned? The CCC people are only a train (or two, or three) away.

I'm glad you weren't car bombed. That is always my Goal in world travel. Did you go with a group of hapless international students? What did you doooo there? You're all gray on aim so I can't pester you for details.

Yeah I haven't talked to any of the CCC people because then I'd feel obligated to go to Tokyo to meet them. Too far away! So lazy! The principal of Nishi keeps pestering me to visit Asuka, so I'll have to do that. And I may go with boy to see his family for New Years. Christmas shopping bah humbug.

Yes, not dying is a good goal to have in international travel. Hence my aversion to places that require plague immunizations and the like.

Christmas shopping is great! Even if it does include Poundland, which many people's shopping in this city seems to... one of the flatmates said there was actually a queue to get in at one point. Talk about it being the thought that counts.

So, am now ramping up the Veronica Mars viewing (as opposed to, you know, preparing for Monday's presentation). I do like the plot, but some of these actors need help with their crying. "But I need to find my mom(my)! (insert petulent face) *sniffle sniffle* ..." It's not quite cutting it.
