Which is probably one of the most painful scenes in the series (hey, there's alot of those in season 4). Hutch wants nothing more than assurance that he’s still important in Starsky’s life. The whole scene in his hospital room? He keeps calling Starsky partner, that’s the only thing he refers to him as. He’s seeking assurance that he's still important even when the job's not there to bond them together and what does Starsky do? Acts like a freaking idiot and all ‘got another partner, don’t need you’ and your heart just breaks for Hutch because he’s so alone and lost and just...broken.
