My Shame Is Like a Blanket. A *Really Shiny* Blanket.

This is what I do now at work while I'm "teaching English." I compose songs about my latest obsession.

Obviously prompted by too much exposure to darkeyedwolf's lj. Beware! If you click on that name, you WILL become a JE fan.

Also glaphix asked me last night, "When are you going to write a ditty about our JE boy love?"

And I said "...TOMORROW!" (Christ, I'm so easy.)



Actually our conversation went more like:

glaphix: where is the song about how we like JE boys?
fenlings: a song?
glaphix: maybe not a SONG
glaphix: a ditty?
fenlings: lol
glaphix: like the Oscar Meyer song?
fenlings: DITTAY
fenlings: i shall COMPOSE ONE
glaphix: YAY
glaphix: you are SO proactive
fenlings: i only have one class tomorrow!
glaphix: then we shall sing it in the pool, eating ice cream, and skipping down the street
fenlings: omg YAY
fenlings: this FILLS ME WITH GLEE
glaphix: maybe skipping down the street arm-in-arm if I can be physically coordinated like that
fenlings: with ICECREAM AND DITTY
fenlings: eeeee
glaphix: PA-FECTO
glaphix: I'll need to practice on my own
glaphix: I'm self-conscious about skill-less-ness
glaphix: THEN, we can perform for Grand Reunion
glaphix: YAY, talent show
fenlings: yay home!

Later in email, she added: I'm also excited about the JE Boys dittay you will compose. Don't know if this will have any impact, but in addition to Oscar Meyer, maybe have "I'm a little teapot" elements? Poses optional. YAY. We will teach John, and make him perform WITH us.


The tune I made for this is very simple (because it's a ditty, not a filk), but it doesn't really matter. Make up your own!

Oh I love JE boys (make the heart hands)
They are my favorite toys
I like to watch them prance (imitate matsujun lift arms with loose fists bent at wrists and kick one straight leg high)
And do their booty dance (twist into kimutaku hip thrusts and swivels)

They're pretty and they're slim
They crossdress for the win (cross arms over chest and then knees and then V sign)
They sing and dance and act (count on fingers)
And if their talents lack (make "little bit" sign)

Their friendships are the best (clasp hands)
Their senpais they respect
But I do have to say (pointer finger to mouth)
They're all just really--fabulous! (jazz hands in front of chest)

So though they're corporate slaves (drinking, batsu sign)
We think that that's okay (handcuff hands to ok sign)
Cuz a JE boy a day (sway hips with three small steps forward)
Makes every day a rainbow sparkle day! (start with hands clasped in front of chest, then extend them up and make sparkley rainbow over your head with your arms starting straight up and spirit-fingering down on either side)


I know, I know, you're impressed. Isn't my choreography *awesome*.

Now I have to get back to the pressing business of inhaling JE fics. ::sobs quietly over the sound of concert footage and Utaban::

This is DANGEROUS Amy. Because you know, with my other obsessions, I like, ran out of episodes, or ran out of fics, so I could move on. THEY WON'T EVER RUN OUT OF JOHNNY'S BOYS, AMY. THEY WON'T EVER RUN OUT.
