fenlingsHahaha Tsuyoshi the kiss monster strikes again. Funny how the guy was like "Stop doing that to my partner!" (But I'll spare you my analysis/comparison of Kinki vs. comedian duos.)

It makes me wonder why Tsuyoshi freaked out when he told Gackt to try to kiss him. Though I do notice that Gackt tends to be one of the few who can get the best of Tsuyoshi, like he does here. (Hee, Tsuyoshi's オチます <3 was so cute. And kind of blatant fodder for any slash fic anyone was inclined to be writing about the two of them...) And that Shindoi episode with Gackt. Man, the more Shindoi episodes I watch, the funnier that episode is in comparison. Tsuyoshi is *completely* taken advantage of. I've got to find that SDK clip where Tsuyoshi makes a cute reference to Gackt swinging both ways.

WHERE is Akiyama???? If Aiba can have half-naked pictures with his girlfriend, then so can his SENPAI, Akiyama. Aaaah, people leaving JE makes me emo. Even when JIMMY left I was emo. And Taiyou. And Kohara Yuki! I don't even *like* them. I guess it's like when a character dies then you kind of come to like them. Like Richie in Highlander. I really hated him (mostly because I can't stand vicarious embarrassment, and resent the characters who inflict it on me), but when he died I was all "AWWWW RICHIEEEEE."
But anyway, Ohkura, much as I love him, is no Akiyama. And what with Yara being in Takki's new group (whose PV, by the way, shows that Takki's video editing skills have definitely improved some), Machida (temporarily) at death's door, Ohno long debuted with Arashi, and Akki suspended/fired, that leaves Musical Academy with ONLY YONEHANA. How sad is that, man. I guess I feel Akki's absence more keenly with Shock going on without him, and I'm also watching Aiken Rosinante, which he is in. I mean, he's bad in it. The whole drama is pretty bad so far. But he's AKKI! He's like a GIANT PUPPY.That Koichi keeps on a leash. How could anyone fire him?? I always thought of MA as all under Koichi's protection, like a feudal lord and his harem retainers. ::kicks Mary and Julie, who are no doubt behind this::
OMG, speaking of management, I want them, whoever they are, to just let Uchi back into Eito. I'm glad he's back in the dorama, but this solo shit is bullshit. Toma's made a go of it, but he'll always be the odd duck, with no group, ALONE. (I guess Kazapon and Hasejun don't even bear mentioning. Sigh. And poor Kusano doesn't even get a dorama or a press con. Err, not that I really care about him.) At least it seems Shounentai is rooting for Uchi, and with Higashiyama on your side, you can go a long way. HOPEFULLY ALL THE WAY BACK TO EITO.
Don't even talk to me about NEWS. Uchi can go back to NEWS to keep Ryo company and be buddies with Koyama, sure. That's fine, whatever. I don't like NEWS, as-a-group. Just like the new Hey Say WTF-ever, I don't like these new groups that rip people away from their old groups. I know a lot of groups start that way, and Arashi's made a splendid go of it. And when you look at the reverse, KATTUN, how a junior group that debuts together can still have so much tension among its members... I guess it just comes down to my irrational feelings. I like the members of NEWS and HSJ and their relationships with each other. I just don't like the concept of the group itself. It's hard to explain. It's kind of how I feel when I read a pairing manifesto about one half of my OTP paired with someone else I also like. Like yes, but... no. (For OTP read 4 Tops and Ya-ya-yah I suppose. Not that I was really fans of them? It just somehow happened that my mind views them as a more correct version of reality, somehow.)
It doesn't help that we aren't ever given closure when people leave or when groups disband or when/if people are debuted. We aren't even allowed to acknowledge that old groups or people who quit ever existed. (That really pisses me off.)

SPEAKING of members of NEWS, God I can't wait for the new Kurosagi movie. I just saw the Taiyou no Namida PV, Kurosagi version. I think my reaction can be summed up in: LUST-WANT-NOW-EEEEE.
Sushi Ooji movie looks like hilarity as usual. Ahaha, I love that series. But the Engrish in the trailers does kind of make me wince. Hopefully it'll be cute!
Also, Hero movie? Anyone?

I've been watching LOTS of things, and COMPLETELY FAILING to remember them, much less review them. Um, mostly Kinki things! I've kind of failed at watching this season and last season's dramas.
Honey and Clover is really killing me so far. Why does Narimiya have to be so awesome?? TOOOMAAAA. (I want his next drama to be one where everyone gives him everything he's ever wanted and hugs him and kisses him and buys him ponies.)
It Started with a Kiss 2 is so far AWESOMECAKES. Hot married sex ftw! (But Joe might want to uh, tone up his body a bit for Hawaii.) I've only watched the first episode but it was SO HILARIOUS and YAY and EEEEEEEEEEEEE. ::flails::
I have to watch SP. And the deer drama! NARA DEER RULE THE WORLD. AHAHAH YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE. All that bowing to get the senbei is just play-acting. They show their true colors when they CHASE PEOPLE THROUGH NARA PARK, BITING AT THEIR CLOTHES, WANTING MOOOOORE. Hmm, BaraHanaya seems to be really popular and has a great cast. I really should give Utahime a try. Maybe watch Kame the boxer just for entertainment value. And there are SO MANY more... I guess Western TV doesn't really stand a chance, even with Capt. Jack kissing Spike. Waaaah.

Date: 2008-02-11 05:45 am (UTC)I have to admit that I really enjoyed Roshinante when it first aired. (I even wrote a semi-serious review of it at the time, referencing Jerry Lewis and 1950s comedy techniques. lol) If you think of it more like an old school "innocent" type comedy, then it makes more sense. But part of the reason I have a soft spot for this drama is bcs it was around the time that Tsuyoshi was showing his frustration with his role as a Johnny's and you can see how he's trying to do something different with his characterization.
