fenlingsI watched the rip that's up on oc244's gogobox, and, I mean, it was good to watch. It was such a relief to have clear sound for the songs and especially for the MC portions that they did include (yes, Tsuyoshi did give Koichi a condom assortment last year, the crazy boy). It was interesting to see the angles they chose, the close-ups, sometimes for highlighting, sometimes for hiding (I seem to remember more extremely blatant hip-thrusting from Tsuyoshi on Love in the Phi, but maybe that was another day's fancam), but I could have done without quite so *many* full-dome "audience perspective" shots. And I'll have to go back and check, because I think they actually modified some parts--cut like one line out, moved some lines around in the dialogue--but I'm not sure.
If oc244's version is all that anyone gets on any DVD version, then they cut a lot of good stuff out... but they also left a lot of good stuff in. I mean, people come to Kinki cons at least as much for the MCs as for the music, if not more. So it's great that they included some of the MCs here, especially when they were on the news and everything (a fact that never fails to amuse me). I just don't think it would be *that* much work or that expensive or that damaging to their image or whatever to release a con dvd with footage of the entire con straight from the beginning to the end in order (a revolutionary idea, I know). Anyway, we still have the fancams (for which I am extremely grateful, my fellow pirates), so at least we know what we're missing!
