Yay "Unleashed"! Except my copy said "Danny the Dog" and that is the stupidest title ever, because, apart from not being as thematic and multiple-meaning-friendly as "Unleashed," the whole point of the movie is that he's *not* a dog.

But OMG it was so good it was like fanfiction! Seriously, just like fanfiction! Except in fanfiction we would have seen Danny get raped because everyone in fanfiction must be Raped to have Trauma, and then his rescuer would be a more attractive blind piano-tuning widower than Morgan Freeman (even though yay Morgan Freeman!) and there would be Tension between them, and he would have no daughter, or perhaps a very small one. But in all other respects! YAY! And Jet Li is SO GOOD at being my FAVORITE KIND of hidden angsty and he was just SO CUTE AND HUGGABLE WITH HIS TEDDY BEAR OMG and then dangerous and sexy with the collar and it was SO ANGSTY that I almost cried sometimes but then I didn't because I wanted to see the prettiness. Oh, and he was pretty too!

But it seemed kind of OOC for Danny's "Uncle" to beg Danny to kill him. We've never seen any suicidal or self-defeating trend in him before. Quite the opposite. Kind of convenient for Danny's inner struggle, eh?

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. OH I LOVE YOU FOR LOVING THE THINGS I LOVE:):):):):):):):) It's so fanfic. It's so good. I actually quite like the title Danny the Dog, though because because because it's quite harsh and and and OH IT IS SO GOOD and if it was fanfic there would have been rape and obviously there probably was rape but I am happy they didn't make us know about it because of the sadness. And there should have been no daughter but I like that even thought there was a daughter most of the relationship was still between him and Morgan Freeman who is SO BEAUTIFUL enough to be the piano tuning widower yes:) And and and HIS TEDDY BEAR OH GOD, and the angst yes and I did the not quite crying as well and and and eeeeeeeeeee.

The ending was all a bit wrong really yes but I was just very relieved for the happy and I liked the plant pot bit and hm.

I agree that Morgan Freeman is QUITE BEAUTIFUL on the inside, but not beautiful on the outside enough to do sex with Jet Li in fanfiction. And poor Danny's "Never had a woman" for more than 38 years awwwwww. And he hid behind random things and ran away SO CUTELY!

And the ending was SO HAPPY THAT JET LI CRIED YES OMG HEART!

It is, um, *entertaining* and squeeable. But I really like Jet Li, and he does trauma so well and is pretty like guh. It is not great cinema, but the cuteness level is really quite high yes. As you might infer from, uh, the above fangirling.
